The Aquatic Adventures S.W.I.M.R.S. program is designed for children ages 4 and up. With a focus on safety and proper stroke mechanics — children will learn to become strong, confident swimmers. Groups are small, no more than 3 per class, in order to provide individual attention to children.
The foundation for all swimming skills must begin with: comfort, survival skills, and proper body alignment for skill development. Instructors will focus on the basics, floating, gliding, breath control, etc., in preparation for stroke development.
Confidence grows with continued work on, breath control, gliding, changing positions, and development of kicking skills.
We build on our foundation and gain some independence by strengthening kicking skills, and introducing stroke work.
Endurance and strength are increased as children begin to see more independence as arms are added with the kick for Freestyle, Back Stroke,
The stages of Freestyle and Back Stroke development are completed as we put it all together in this level.
This advanced class continues to build strength, endurance and confidence. Here we teach Breast Stroke and Butterfly skills in this level of our S.W.I.M.R.S. program.
